Dear Room 114 Families,                                                                               September 16, 2019

It was very nice to meet many of you at open house.  This will be the last hard copy of the newsletter I send home.  If you have not provided your email address, please do so immediately.

Note for the week:

  • Please remember to have your child wear gym shoes on Wednesday and Friday
  • The year’s first PTO meeting is scheduled for September 24th beginning at 5 pm.
  • School begins promptly at 8:45 am and ends at 3:45 pm. If you anticipate being late, please call the school.
  • Thank you to the four families that have provided snack.  Thirteen students should provide snack this month.  We are currently out of snack until additional snack is provided.
  • If you know that you are an approved volunteer at Ray, please let me know.  I have heard from five parents that are already in our volunteer system.  As a reminder, parents cannot volunteer for any events if they are not on the approved list.
  • Please remember to meet your child on our class number at dismissal time to avoid congestion around the school doors. Please remind your child to say good-bye before leaving.
  • Please return all forms that have been sent home: emergency contact, student information and lunch form.
  • Children are permitted to have “pop top” water bottles in the classroom.
  • Thank you to all the families that have logged on to class dojo.  I will use this to send out class reminders.  Other teachers the students see may use if for additional communication or to reward students points.  I will not use it for this. If you have a quick note to send me feel free to use Dojo.  If I can respond with a one-sentence response, it is Dojo appropriate.  If the context of the message requires a longer response, please use email.  My preferred communication is email.
